The Village Hall Village Hall Roof Schoolchildren working in the building which is now the village hall would have looked up to see a lofty wooden ceiling, complete with board inscribed: 'Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth.' At the time of conversion a structural survey was carried out and remedial work was necessary. Additional supports had to be constructed to ensure the stability of the roof. This fact as well as the conservation of heat meant that a lower ceiling was created. Here you have the view of the exposed area, having removed the ceiling, and the view of the new lighting and ceiling recently installed.
The hall has recently been redecorated, and future plans include refurbishment of the toilets. |
