Wallingford-based South Oxfordshire Choir is this year to be part of the Cholsey Festival of Music. On the evening of Saturday 18th July, the Choir will be performing in St. Mary’s Church, Cholsey Vivaldi’s Gloria, the composer’s most famous choral piece, and this will be supported by a selection of J.S. Bach’s Cantatas. Vivaldi's Gloria is one of the most famous and joyful choral works from the Baroque period, with movements that alternate between jubilant, high-energy choruses and deeply moving arias.
