BSR in the Red Box Gallery
I can hardly believe that it is five years since three of us went to a talk in Oxford in Refugee Week and came back to the village and said - “we must do something”. Brightwell Supporting Refugees was formed with your encouragement later that year In November 2015. From an initial fundraising target of £500 we have gone on to raise over £35000 which has gone to support projects in Jordan, Uganda, Lesvos and here in Oxfordshire. The world has changed but the needs of refugees are still great even more so in this global pandemic.
To mark this year’s Refugee Week and World Refugee Day on Saturday we have put up an exhibition in the Red Box gallery opposite the pub. Do take a look.
Sadly we have had to postpone our mobile music night till July because of Governent restrictions. As we cannot hold fundraising events at the moment any donations are very welcome.
