Red Lion Christmas Opening
As we head towards the final furlong on
2020, Mouse and I have been looking back at what can only be described
as possibly the most surreal year of our lives!! Little did we know this
time last year when we were having a daily fight with our solicitors to
get their backsides into action and complete the sale that nearly 11
months on, our beautiful pub would have been closed for almost as much
time as we have been able to open!
To say it has been a hard fought year would be somewhat of an
understatement but with the support of all our loyal customers and
supporters in the village and beyond, I am so proud to say that we have
made it through the year and it looks like we will come out of this the
other side with an amazing business that should, fingers crossed,
continue into 2021 and beyond. We could not have done it without you all
and of course, it really does help that we have the most amazing team
of staff working here alongside us and without them, we simply wouldn't
be here today so to them and you.......thank you, thank you, thank you.
Now, on to the important part.....when will be open over Christmas!!
As we have remained in Tier 2, to continue to trade, all drinkers must
be served a substantial meal with their drinks so when booking a table,
please always bare this in mind. You are not able to come for a drink
without eating and as much as I would love to say yes, a bag of crisps
does not count! :)
Sunday 20th December - 12-5pm **Christmas Meat Draw at 4pm**
Monday 21st December - Closed All Day
Tuesday 22nd December - 6-10pm Takeaway menu only & limited small bites
Wednesday 23rd December - 12-3pm & 6-10pm Smaller lunch & dinner menu
Christmas Eve - 12-3pm & 6-10pm Smaller lunch & dinner menu
Christmas Day - 11.30-2pm Very limited menu
Boxing Day - 11.30-6pm Snacks and limited menu
Sunday 27th December - Closed All Day
Monday 28th December - Closed All Day
Tuesday 29th December - Closed All Day
Wednesday 30th December - 12-3pm & 6-10pm (More details to follow)
New Years Eve - 12-4pm
New Years Day - Not yet decided.....sorry
Our limited lunchtime menu will have a selection of baguettes and a
small offering of hot meals. Please note, we may not be able to cater
for all dietary requirements so when booking, please mention any special
requirements before confirming your table.
On Christmas Day, we will be serving our delicious homemade substantial
Sausage Rolls and festive treats for you to enjoy with your Christmas
Day drinks.
If you would like to book a table inside or out for any of the above
days, please call us here at the pub or reply to this e-mail but be
quick, we expect to fill up very quickly. Please remember, we are unable
to mix households inside and this also stands for your Christmas
Bubble. Even though you are allowed to mix at home between the
23rd-27th, you are unable to sit inside the pub together however you
can book a table in our marquee.
We will be offering our takeaway menu on Tuesday and Wednesday of next
week and the menu will be e-mailed tomorrow and please remember, on
Tuesday evening, if you choose to dine in the pub, it will only be the
takeaway menu offered along with limited smaller bites.
Finally, before I sign off, many of you know we have been selling raffle
tickets for our meat draw and we decided to have one large Christmas
Draw for the month and this will take place tomorrow afternoon. If you
would like to buy tickets, please pop in today or tomorrow, they cost
just £1 per ticket and we have many prizes up for grabs.
