The Save the Children Festival of Light!

Christmas 2020 around the Save the Children Christmas trees in The Square will sadly not be the same this year but we are determined to spread some joy and happiness whilst illuminating your senses and we need your help to do this.

You are invited to leave out a lantern or a jam jar with a small night light, put fairy lights in your hedges or find some other creative way of lighting up. We suggest that these are illuminated on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day between 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm for others to admire whilst out walking in the village.

Highland’s Farm are keen to join in, by lighting up Brightwell Barrow. A great spot to see their lights will be from Little Martins looking North (just like the wise men!)

One thing is for sure, Santa won’t miss us!

From 5pm – 6pm a ‘special visitor’ on his busiest night of the year is going to have a pit stop in The Square, he hopes to meet those wandering past. He and his elves will be following all Government guidelines. Also, carols will be playing and although we won't be able to congregate in mass, you can enjoy the atmosphere in your “bubbles” as you pass through the Square.

There will be collection boxes located around The Square but in addition, this year we are pleased to be able to offer you the opportunity to donate via our Just Giving Page. Scan this QR code with your camera and it will take you directly to our page!

Alternatively, go to www.justgiving.com and type in The Save the Children Festival of Light to donate.

Thank you.
