If you look closely at this old picture postcard of The Street, you will see a noticeboard by the front bay window of the house on the left. That is the only visible clue to 1, Meadow View's previous incarnation as the village police house. Another clue came when a former owner dug up a Berkshire Constabulary button in the back garden! (Brightwell once fell in Berkshire territory).
